Neumann KM-54

Type: Small Diaphragm Condenser / Tube / Cardioid

One of my favorite mics. This KM-54 has the correct original nickel capsule and AC 701 tube. It also has the unusual M-154 designation which was given to microphones sent to the German broadcast industry. Excellent on percussion and acoustic guitars. Hear this mic as a drum overhead on Bill Porter's early 60's RCA B recordings (Elvis, Roy Orbison, etc.). Very smooth, sweet, musical, lovely.
